Earthing Pro TK

Tanker Identification Static Grounding System

A static grounding and tanker identification system for loading operations, designed to verify true grounding status, recognize authorized vehicles and improve site safety and control.

  • Earthing Pro TK is designed for tanker loading and unloading operations that require both verified static grounding and automatic tanker-type recognition.

  • It checks the grounding path and evaluates the connected vehicle’s capacitance relative to earth. Tanker trucks generally present a capacitance greater than 1000 pF, which is used as the recognition reference.

  • The function identifies tanker-type electrical characteristics rather than a specific vehicle identity.

  • In tanker loading operations, grounding verification alone is often not enough.

  • For sites that require standardized management, tanker identification is equally important.

  • Earthing Pro TK helps confirm both tanker identity and grounding status before operation begins, improving safety and process control.

  • A verified low-resistance path alone does not prove that the clamp is attached to a tanker-type vehicle. Earthing Pro TK therefore evaluates vehicle-to-earth capacitance in addition to checking the grounding circuit. Both the tanker-recognition result and the ≤10 Ω loop condition must remain valid before the system provides a permissive output.

  • 01
    Three-stage verification

earth continuity, tanker-type recognition and continuous loop monitoring.

  • 02
Capacitance recognition reference greater than 1000 pF.

  • 03
    Ground-loop permissive threshold of ≤10 Ω.

  • 04
OLED display with live status, test prompts and measured resistance.

  • 05
Audible and visual alarm with process interlock.

  • 06
Factory calibration with no routine customer calibration.

  • 01

The system verifies continuity of the grounding conductors to earth.

  • 02

After the clamp is attached to the tanker body, the controller displays a test state and evaluates vehicle-to-earth capacitance against the >1000 pF recognition reference.

  • 03

If tanker-type recognition is valid, the system continuously monitors the complete clamp-to-vehicle-to-earth loop to ≤10 Ω.

  • 04

The OLED displays the live state and resistance; the relay permits transfer only while all required checks remain valid.

  • 05

Removing the clamp or losing either condition produces a non-permissive alarm and interlock response.

  • Tanker loading and unloading

  • Petrochemical and chemical loading stations

  • Loading bays requiring tanker identification

  • Hazardous liquid storage and transfer sites

  • Processes requiring verified grounding before loading permission

  • Combines grounding verification and tanker identification

  • Improves safety control in loading operations

  • Reduces false grounding to non-vehicle objects

  • Supports more standardized loading procedures

  • Improves operational reliability

  • Provides continuous alarm and interlock protection

FAQS

What is Earthing Pro TK used for?

It is used for tanker loading operations where the system identifies the vehicle and verifies grounding safety before transfer begins.

What is the difference between Earthing Pro TK and a standard grounding system?

Compared with a basic grounding system, Earthing Pro TK adds tanker identification capability, making it more suitable for sites requiring controlled loading authorization.

Can it support interlock control?

Yes. Earthing Pro TK can provide interlock output for integration with pumps, valves or control systems.

How does Earthing Pro TK decide that the clamp is on a tanker-type vehicle?

It evaluates capacitance between the connected vehicle and earth. A value greater than 1000 pF is used as the tanker-recognition reference before the ≤10 Ω loop is continuously monitored

What information appears on the OLED during recognition?

The display guides the operator through GROUNDING OK, CLAMP ON and TESTING. A valid tanker connection shows CONNECTED and the live resistance with a green indicator. A rejected vehicle connection displays NO TRUCK. CLAMP OFF and ENTERING STANDBY guide clamp return after operation.

Does Earthing Pro TK read a registration number or RFID tag?

No. It evaluates tanker-type electrical characteristics and grounding status; it does not read specific vehicle identity data

What causes the relay to become non-permissive?

Loss of earth continuity, failure of tanker recognition, loop resistance above 10 Ω or clamp removal causes the configured alarm and interlock response.
