Earthing Pro DU

Dual-Channel Static Grounding System

A static grounding verification system for applications requiring dual-channel grounding monitoring, designed to check two grounding lines simultaneously, confirm true grounding and improve site safety control.

  • Earthing Pro DU is designed for industrial applications where two grounding lines need to be monitored at the same time.

  • Earthing Pro DU provides two independent active grounding channels in one controller.

  • Each channel has its own measurement, status indication and relay output, allowing two conductive objects or two transfer processes to operate separately or simultaneously.

  • Typical arrangements include drums, Ex IBCs, tanker trucks, railcars, transloading operations, LACT metering skids and mobile transloaders.

  • When two pieces of equipment, two grounding points or two grounding loops must both be confirmed, a standard single-channel grounding system may not provide sufficient monitoring.

  • Earthing Pro DU checks two grounding lines at the same time, helping confirm that both grounding conditions are safe before operation begins and improving site control.

  • 01
    Two independent active grounding channels

  • 02
Independent ≤10 Ω measurement and OLED status for each channel

  • 03
One dedicated relay output per channel

  • 04
Optional third relay for customer-defined common or auxiliary logic

  • 05
    Independent or simultaneous channel operation

  • 06
Audible and visual alarm with clamp-return monitoring

  • 06
Factory calibration with no routine customer calibration

  • 01

Connect each clamp to its assigned conductive object or grounding point.

  • 02

Each channel independently checks its complete grounding loop and requires ≤10 Ω.

  • 03

The OLED identifies Clamp 1 and Clamp 2, displays their resistance values and alternates the active channel indication when both are in use.

  • 04

A valid channel energizes its dedicated relay output; an invalid channel alarms and responds independently.

  • 05

A customer-defined third relay can provide common permissive, common alarm or other combined logic.

  • 06

After operation, return both clamps to their monitored positions.

  • Loading operations requiring dual-point grounding monitoring

  • Industrial sites where two devices must be grounded simultaneously

  • Hazardous liquid transfer

  • Chemical and petrochemical loading stations

  • Storage and transfer applications with higher safety requirements

  • Two metal drums or two Ex IBCs

  • Two tanker trucks or two railcars

  • Railcar-to-tanker and tanker-to-railcar transloading

  • LACT metering skids

  • Mobile transloader installations

  • Any suitable pair of conductive items or processes

  • Monitors two grounding lines at the same time

  • Improves safety control in more complex operations

  • Reduces risks caused by insufficient single-point monitoring

  • Supports interlock control

  • Improves operational reliability

FAQS

What is Earthing Pro DU used for?

It is used for loading and transfer operations where two grounding lines need to be monitored at the same time.

What is the difference between Earthing Pro DU and a standard single-channel grounding system?

Earthing Pro DU can verify two grounding loops simultaneously, making it more suitable for sites requiring dual-point grounding confirmation or dual-equipment grounding monitoring.

Can it support interlock control?

Yes. Earthing Pro DU can provide interlock output for integration with pumps, valves or control systems.

How are the two channels shown on the OLED?

The display identifies CLAMP 1 and CLAMP 2. When one clamp is active, the other can remain IDLE. A connected channel shows CONNECTED and its resistance value in the corresponding lower corner. When both are active, the top arrow alternates to identify the channel currently presented in the centre.

Can one channel continue if the other loses ground?

Yes. Each standard channel measures and drives its own relay independently unless the customer-defined third relay or external control logic requires both channels.

What can the third relay do?

It can be configured for a common permissive, common alarm or another project-specific auxiliary function.

What equipment combinations are supported?

DU can monitor any suitable pair of conductive items, including drums, Ex IBCs, tanker trucks, railcars and equipment used on metering or transloading skids.
